Welcome to Studio IR

Building or renovating your own home is a dream for many. We create exclusive designs with an eye for connection, logic and simplicity. Studio IR is a design studio for architecture and interior design.

We specialize in high-end projects and have a passion for biophilia. Our designs tell a story, they are a reflection of a character and every character is unique. We have an extensive network with knowledge and expertise, which allows us to respond to diverse and complex design challenges. With a smart design and an integral approach, time and therefore costs are saved. Our studio provides complete peace of mind, because your comfort comes first.

Connection

The task of the architect does not consist solely of following the program of requirements and shaping formal appearances. For us, the user is central to the design. Architecture must make room for that which connects people!
Logic

A well-thought-out design is based on logic. Such a design is balanced, feels good and does not need to be explained. It is logical in functionality and aesthetics. Logic goes hand in hand with precision and refined detailing.
Simplicity

Simplicity in architecture is a paradox, it is anything but simple. It is the ensemble of the right material, the appropriate colors and perfection in form. This refinement in detail makes a design of great quality. What appears simple to the eye proves in reality to be a great luxury and quality in architecture.

Biophilia

Biophilia defines the relationship with nature as a basic human need, daily contact with nature is essential for a vital living and working environment. Our vision is based on the theory of Biophilia, whereby the architectural design is a complement to the life of the user.

INTRODUCTION and ORIENTATION

Our approach to design is firmly rooted in the interpretation of basic human needs. People must feel at home in a building. Together we define your wishes with regard to experience, appearance, functionality and sustainability. These wishes form the starting point for the design, but more importantly they create a tailored end result that you will cherish.

The solid collaboration between client and architect is essential to us.
from SKETCH DESIGN to PERMIT

Prior to the sketch design, thorough research takes place into the context, the zoning plan, image and quality plan and the wishes regarding the living and working environment. All this information results in a first sketch design.

The sketch design gains further depth in the preliminary and final design. The elaboration is often in both 2D and 3D drawings, to give the client a good spatial insight.

Design and technology go hand in hand. Finally, in collaboration with the structural engineer and building physicist, the design is developed into a complete building plan that can be submitted for the permit application.

from PERMIT to REALIZATION

The follow-up process, the implementation phase, has several phases. This includes the following phases: construction drawings, construction contract and construction management.

In addition to a lot of thinking and checking work from the office, we keep an eye on things during construction. During the entire construction process we hold meetings on location. After checking at detail level, the delivery of your dream project follows!
